This artwork by Tom Lovell achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May 2015. In the Visions of the West: American Paintings from the William I. Koch Collection auction, the work Comanche Moon sold for USD 17,500.00 (€ 15,917.77) - well above the upper estimate of USD 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tom Lovell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Catchers of Wild Horses in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 312,500.00 (€ 268,309.44).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Tom Lovell erzielte im Mai 2015 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Visions of the West: American Paintings from the William I. Koch Collection wurde die Arbeit Comanche Moon für USD 17.500,00 (€ 15.917,77) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tom Lovell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Catchers of Wild Horses im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 312.500,00 (€ 268.309,44).
