Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction A Beautiful Life: Photographs from the Collection of Leland Hirsch, which included the work 'Tulips' by Tom Baril. Here, the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 2,125.00 (€ 1,759.98). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tom Baril achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portfolio of 8, 1993-2001 in February 2008 with an auction result of USD 27,400.00 (€ 18,041.75).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion A Beautiful Life: Photographs from the Collection of Leland Hirsch durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Tulips' von Tom Baril zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 2.125,00 (€ 1.759,98) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tom Baril erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portfolio of 8, 1993-2001 im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.400,00 (€ 18.041,75).
