Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work 'Calla Lily' by Tom Baril was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in April 2018. Here, the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 2,125.00 (€ 1,759.98). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tom Baril achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portfolio of 8, 1993-2001 in February 2008 with an auction result of USD 27,400.00 (€ 18,041.75).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit 'Calla Lily' von Tom Baril kam im April 2018 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 2.125,00 (€ 1.759,98) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tom Baril erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portfolio of 8, 1993-2001 im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.400,00 (€ 18.041,75).
