Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Tinus van Doorn could be acquired at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern Art auction, the work Woman with parrot changed hands for EUR 7,500.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tinus van Doorn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dutch Portrait, which sold at auction in June 2008 for EUR 21,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tinus van Doorn konnte im Juni 2015 bei Christies in Amsterdam für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern Art wechselte die Arbeit Woman with parrot für EUR 7.500,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Tinus van Doorn mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dutch Portrait beobachtet, die im Juni 2008 für EUR 21.750,00 versteigert wurde.
