In July 2020 Christies in London held the auction First Open: Post-War & Contemporary Art Online, which included the work Untitled (Selection Display) by Timur Si-Qin. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,457.10), 34% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Timur Si-Qin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in October 2018 for GBP 35,000.00 (€ 39,469.20).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 34 % übertroffen
Im Juli 2020 führte Christies in London die Auktion First Open: Post-War & Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Selection Display) von Timur Si-Qin zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 10.457,10) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Timur Si-Qin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für GBP 35.000,00 (€ 39.469,20) versteigert wurde.
