Auction result well in line with expectations
The work White Ship by Timur Novikov was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 34,359.93) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Timur Novikov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tank Attack, which sold at auction in November 2013 for GBP 68,500.00 (€ 82,430.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit White Ship von Timur Novikov kam im Juni 2014 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 34.359,93) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Timur Novikov mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tank Attack beobachtet, die im November 2013 für GBP 68.500,00 (€ 82.430,58) versteigert wurde.
