Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work House in the Woods by Timur Novikov was worth GBP 50,400.00 (€ 56,301.29) to a buyer in December 2020. This price was achieved in the auction Russian Pictures at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Timur Novikov; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Tank Attack sold at auction in November 2013 with the realized price of GBP 68,500.00 (€ 82,430.58).
