This artwork by Timur Novikov achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2021. In the Russian Pictures auction, the work Untitled, from the Oscar Wilde Series sold for GBP 30,240.00 (€ 35,504.61) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Timur Novikov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tank Attack, which sold at auction in November 2013 for GBP 68,500.00 (€ 82,430.58).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Timur Novikov erzielte im November 2021 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Russian Pictures wurde die Arbeit Untitled, from the Oscar Wilde Series für GBP 30.240,00 (€ 35.504,61) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Timur Novikov mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tank Attack beobachtet, die im November 2013 für GBP 68.500,00 (€ 82.430,58) versteigert wurde.
