In the Photographs auction, the work 'Black Cañon, Colorado River, From Camp 8, Looking Above' sold for USD 23,750.00 (€ 16,024.56) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Timothy O'Sullivan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Ancient Ruins In The Cañon De Chelle, N.M.' in April 2011 with an auction result of USD 134,500.00 (€ 90,749.61).
