Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2020 Bonhams in Sydney / Melbourne held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work Boomerang, 1993 by Tim Storrier. It changed hands for a price of AUD 5,535.00 (€ 4,632.57) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of AUD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tim Storrier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Night Winds (Capricorn), 2010 in June 2021 with an auction result of GBP 56,500.00 (€ 65,837.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2020 führte Bonhams in Sydney / Melbourne die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Boomerang, 1993 von Tim Storrier zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von AUD 5.535,00 (€ 4.632,57) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tim Storrier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Night Winds (Capricorn), 2010 im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 56.500,00 (€ 65.837,19).
