Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2024 a collector was able to acquire the work Coastal scenery with a storm coming up, presumably from Kolding fjord by Thorvald Niss for DKK 3,000.00 (€ 2,621.92). This price was achieved in the auction Paintings, furniture and varia at Bruun Rasmussen and was even below the estimate range of DKK 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thorvald Niss - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Seascape with fishing boats in the evening sun, which sold at auction in January 2024 for DKK 6,500.00 (€ 5,680.83).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2024 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Coastal scenery with a storm coming up, presumably from Kolding fjord von Thorvald Niss für DKK 3.000,00 (€ 2.621,92) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Paintings, furniture and varia bei Bruun Rasmussen erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von DKK 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Thorvald Niss mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Seascape with fishing boats in the evening sun beobachtet, die im Januar 2024 für DKK 6.500,00 (€ 5.680,83) versteigert wurde.
