Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 998.75 (€ 1,391.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Thomas Whittle have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work High Tor, Matlock in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 3,840.00 (€ 5,702.52).
