In the BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PAINTINGS, INCLUDING SCOTTISH PICTURES auction, the work A wayside conversation sold for GBP 1,468.75 (€ 2,369.98) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thomas Whittle - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work High Tor, Matlock, which sold at auction in November 2006 for GBP 3,840.00 (€ 5,702.52).

Für andere Arbeiten von Thomas Whittle mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit High Tor, Matlock beobachtet, die im November 2006 für GBP 3.840,00 (€ 5.702,52) versteigert wurde.
