Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2005 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures, which included the work Summer Flowers And Fruit In A Wicker Basket, An Extensive Landscape Beyond by Thomas Webster. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 700.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 780.00 (€ 1,145.92). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Webster achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Maternal Affection in June 2001 with an auction result of GBP 14,100.00 (€ 23,422.91).

Im November 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Summer Flowers And Fruit In A Wicker Basket, An Extensive Landscape Beyond von Thomas Webster zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 700,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 780,00 (€ 1.145,92) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas Webster erzielen.
