Auction result well in line with expectations
The work This won't hurt a bit! by Thomas Webster was sold in the Victorian and British Impressionist Art auction at Christies in London in June 2010. The price achieved of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,216.09) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Webster achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Maternal Affection in June 2001 with an auction result of GBP 14,100.00 (€ 23,422.91).
