It achieved a price of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,168.10), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 63%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thomas van Apshoven - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Scène De Réjouissances Dans Une Taverne, D'Après David Teniers, which sold at auction in November 2020 for EUR 19,500.00.

Die Arbeit A Village Landscape With Figures Playing Ball Games von Thomas van Apshoven kam im September 2019 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.168,10) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 63%. Für andere Arbeiten von Thomas van Apshoven mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Scène De Réjouissances Dans Une Taverne, D'Après David Teniers beobachtet, die im November 2020 für EUR 19.500,00 versteigert wurde.
