Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Thomas Stothard could be acquired at Christies in London in September 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Collection of Professor Sir Albert Richardson, P.R.A. auction, the work Design for a tented garden pavilion changed hands for GBP 687.50 (€ 821.80) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Stothard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sylvia and the Outlaws: a Scene from Shakespeare's 'Two Gentlemen of Verona' in February 2003 with an auction result of GBP 10,755.00 (€ 15,701.96).
