Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Thomas Schütte was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Christies in London in March this year. The price achieved of GBP 47,880.00 (€ 54,472.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 35,000.00 – 55,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Schütte achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Grosser Geist Nr. 13 in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 5,275,600.00 (€ 4,731,904.21).
