Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Thomas Schütte could be acquired at Christies in London in July last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, London auction, the work Pokal changed hands for GBP 48,000.00 (€ 57,320.53) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Schütte achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Grosser Geist Nr. 13 in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 5,275,600.00 (€ 4,731,904.21).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Thomas Schütte konnte im Juli letzten Jahres bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, London wechselte die Arbeit Pokal für GBP 48.000,00 (€ 57.320,53) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas Schütte erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Grosser Geist Nr. 13 im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.275.600,00 (€ 4.731.904,21).
