Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Look by Thomas Schütte for EUR 5,000.00. This price was achieved in the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 6,500.00 – 8,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Schütte achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Grosser Geist Nr. 13 in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 5,275,600.00 (€ 4,731,904.21).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Look von Thomas Schütte für EUR 5.000,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art bei Christies in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 6.500,00 – 8.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas Schütte erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Grosser Geist Nr. 13 im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.275.600,00 (€ 4.731.904,21).
