Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April last year Sothebys in Cologne held the auction Modern & Contemporary Auction, which included the work Schaufenster (Shop Window) by Thomas Scheibitz. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 32,760.00. Admittedly, works by Thomas Scheibitz have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Douglas in March 2006 with an auction result of USD 307,200.00 (€ 253,068.62).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Köln die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Schaufenster (Shop Window) von Thomas Scheibitz zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 32.760,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Thomas Scheibitz auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Douglas im März 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 307.200,00 (€ 253.068,62).
