In March 2009 Phillips in London held the auction Saturday@Phillips, which included the work Swelling of the Sea, Furthest West - The Atlantic Ocean, Point Ardnamurchan, Scotland by Thomas Joshua Cooper. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 500.00 (€ 539.18), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Joshua Cooper achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Unexpected Nightfall- The Mid North Atlantic Ocean, Porto Moniz, The Island of Madeira (Near the North-most point of the Island), Portugal in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 10,270.27).

Im März 2009 führte Phillips in London die Auktion Saturday@Phillips durch, in der auch die Arbeit Swelling of the Sea, Furthest West - The Atlantic Ocean, Point Ardnamurchan, Scotland von Thomas Joshua Cooper zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 500,00 (€ 539,18) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas Joshua Cooper erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Unexpected Nightfall- The Mid North Atlantic Ocean, Porto Moniz, The Island of Madeira (Near the North-most point of the Island), Portugal im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 10.270,27).
