However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thomas Hearne - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Elegant figures rowing on the the River Wear before Lumley Castle, which sold at auction in May 2001 for GBP 12,925.00 (€ 21,669.06).
