The work White Calf by Thomas Hart Benton was sold in the Prints & Multiples auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in January 2024. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,536.00 (€ 1,342.42), 28% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Hart Benton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nashaquitsa in November last year with an auction result of USD 5,580,000.00 (€ 5,405,405.41).

Die Arbeit White Calf von Thomas Hart Benton wurde im Januar 2024 in der Auktion Prints & Multiples bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.536,00 (€ 1.342,42) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas Hart Benton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nashaquitsa im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.580.000,00 (€ 5.405.405,41).
