Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In January 2024 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Prints & Multiples, which included the work New England Farm by Thomas Hart Benton. Here, the upper estimate of USD 2,400.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 2,560.00 (€ 2,237.37). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Hart Benton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nashaquitsa in November last year with an auction result of USD 5,580,000.00 (€ 5,405,405.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Januar 2024 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Prints & Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit New England Farm von Thomas Hart Benton zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 2.400,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 2.560,00 (€ 2.237,37) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas Hart Benton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nashaquitsa im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.580.000,00 (€ 5.405.405,41).
