Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture, which included the work Still Life With Breakfast Setting by Thomas Henry Hope. Here, the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 7,500.00 (€ 5,183.85). Admittedly, works by Thomas Henry Hope have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life With Pipe And Bubbles in October 2015 with an auction result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,640.83).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2007 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life With Breakfast Setting von Thomas Henry Hope zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 7.500,00 (€ 5.183,85) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Thomas Henry Hope auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Still Life With Pipe And Bubbles im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 22.640,83).
