In the Centuries of Style: Silver, European Ceramics, Glass, Portrait Miniatures and Gold Boxes auction, the work Unknown sold for GBP 11,250.00 (€ 12,446.03) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Thomas Forster have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of A Gentleman in December 2019 with an auction result of GBP 65,000.00 (€ 76,822.39).
