This artwork by Thomas Forster achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in December 2019. In the The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures, Part III auction, the work Portrait Of A Lady sold for GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,432.06) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Forster achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of A Gentleman in December 2019 with an auction result of GBP 65,000.00 (€ 76,822.39).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Thomas Forster erzielte im Dezember 2019 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures, Part III wurde die Arbeit Portrait Of A Lady für GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.432,06) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.800,00.
