In the Old Master Day Sale including Old Master Paintings, Drawings and British Works on Paper auction, the work Portrait Of A Child sold for GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,182.84) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Forster achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of A Gentleman in December 2019 with an auction result of GBP 65,000.00 (€ 76,822.39).
