The work Portrait of A Gentleman, Three-Quarter-Length, In A Black Costume With White Collar And Black Hat, Seated With A Compass In His Left Hand by Thomas de Keijzer was sold in the Old Master Pictures auction at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2006. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 22,800.00 43% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas de Keijzer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of a silversmith, thought to be Christian van Vianen, seated full-length, in brown costume and a black hat, holding a drawing and a salt-cellar, at a carpeted table in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 644,650.00 (€ 997,127.56).

Die Arbeit Portrait of A Gentleman, Three-Quarter-Length, In A Black Costume With White Collar And Black Hat, Seated With A Compass In His Left Hand von Thomas de Keijzer wurde im Mai 2006 in der Auktion Old Master Pictures bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of a silversmith, thought to be Christian van Vianen, seated full-length, in brown costume and a black hat, holding a drawing and a salt-cellar, at a carpeted table im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 644.650,00 (€ 997.127,56).
