In the 19th Century European Art including Barbizon, Realist and auction, the work Figures By A River In The Woods changed hands for USD 17,925.00 (€ 9,075.95) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Thomas Creswick have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The London Road A Hundred Years Ago in June 2004 with an auction result of GBP 38,240.00 (€ 56,912.57).
