It achieved a price of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 13,515.46), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 33%. Admittedly, works by Thomas Creswick have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The London Road A Hundred Years Ago in June 2004 with an auction result of GBP 38,240.00 (€ 56,912.57).

Die Arbeit The Custom House, Dublin von Thomas Creswick wurde im Mai 2008 in der Auktion The Irish Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 13.515,46) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 33%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Thomas Creswick auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The London Road A Hundred Years Ago im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 38.240,00 (€ 56.912,57).
