Here, the upper estimate of GBP 800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 881.25 (€ 887.66). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thomas Churchyard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Isle of Wight, which sold at auction in December 2001 for GBP 1,175.00 (€ 1,919.79).

Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 881,25 (€ 887,66) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Thomas Churchyard mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Isle of Wight beobachtet, die im Dezember 2001 für GBP 1.175,00 (€ 1.919,79) versteigert wurde.
