Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Cattle watering before a ruined castle by Thomas Charles Leeson Rowbotham was sold in the British and Continental Watercolours auction at Christies in London in March 2004. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 400.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 418.25 (€ 626.08). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Charles Leeson Rowbotham achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Veduta di Benares, 1872 in November 2002 with an auction result of EUR 17,360.00.
