The result of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,983.82) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Thomas Beach have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Four portraits of the children of William and Elizabeth Helyar: Joanna, aged 8; Harriet, aged 11; Edward, aged 18; and Bridget, aged 13 in December 2018 with an auction result of GBP 32,500.00 (€ 36,207.88).
