Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Portrait of a lady, half-length, in a white dress and green sash, feigned oval by Thomas Beach was sold in the British and Victorian Pictures auction at Christies in London in March 2000. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,610.00 (€ 2,677.50). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Beach achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Four portraits of the children of William and Elizabeth Helyar: Joanna, aged 8; Harriet, aged 11; Edward, aged 18; and Bridget, aged 13 in December 2018 with an auction result of GBP 32,500.00 (€ 36,207.88).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Portrait of a lady, half-length, in a white dress and green sash, feigned oval von Thomas Beach wurde im März 2000 in der Auktion British and Victorian Pictures bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.610,00 (€ 2.677,50) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas Beach erzielen.
