Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2006 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work A gentleman and lady with their children in a landscape by Thomas Beach. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 42,000.00 (€ 32,881.86) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Thomas Beach have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2018 the work Four portraits of the children of William and Elizabeth Helyar: Joanna, aged 8; Harriet, aged 11; Edward, aged 18; and Bridget, aged 13 was auctioned for GBP 32,500.00 (€ 36,207.88).

Im Oktober 2006 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A gentleman and lady with their children in a landscape von Thomas Beach zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 42.000,00 (€ 32.881,86) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Thomas Beach konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Dezember 2018 die Arbeit Four portraits of the children of William and Elizabeth Helyar: Joanna, aged 8; Harriet, aged 11; Edward, aged 18; and Bridget, aged 13 für GBP 32.500,00 (€ 36.207,88) versteigert.
