Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work View of London From The Steeple of St Bride'S Church, Fleet Street Looking Towards St Paul'S Cathedral by Thomas Allom for GBP 2,880.00 (€ 4,167.31). This price was achieved in the auction British Art on Paper Including 'The Blue Rigi' by J.M.W. Turner, R.A. at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Allom achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Sack of Corinth in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 51,650.00 (€ 64,353.63).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2006 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit View of London From The Steeple of St Bride'S Church, Fleet Street Looking Towards St Paul'S Cathedral von Thomas Allom für GBP 2.880,00 (€ 4.167,31) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British Art on Paper Including 'The Blue Rigi' by J.M.W.
