Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2020 Sothebys in Zurich held the auction Swiss Made UNLOCKED, which included the work Trois Baigneuses, 1929 by Paul-Théophile Robert. Here, the upper estimate of CHF 9,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for CHF 10,000.00 (€ 9,405.22). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul-Théophile Robert - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Akt zwischen zwei Bediensteten. 1927., which sold at auction in June 2004 for CHF 54,740.00 (€ 35,898.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2020 führte Sothebys in Zürich die Auktion Swiss Made UNLOCKED durch, in der auch die Arbeit Trois Baigneuses, 1929 von Paul-Théophile Robert zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von CHF 9.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für CHF 10.000,00 (€ 9.405,22) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Paul-Théophile Robert mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Akt zwischen zwei Bediensteten. 1927. beobachtet, die im Juni 2004 für CHF 54.740,00 (€ 35.898,55) versteigert wurde.
