In November 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction The Greek Sale, which included the work Still Life With Cherub by Theofrastos Triantafyllidis. The result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 36,272.25) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Other works by Theofrastos Triantafyllidis have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2008 the work Greek Landscape was auctioned for GBP 29,300.00 (€ 37,353.36).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im November 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Greek Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life With Cherub von Theofrastos Triantafyllidis zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 36.272,25) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Theofrastos Triantafyllidis konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April 2008 die Arbeit Greek Landscape für GBP 29.300,00 (€ 37.353,36) versteigert.
