This artwork by Theodore Roszak achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in February this year. In the Editions & Works on Paper auction, the work Untitled (Explosion in a graveyard) sold for USD 5,670.00 (€ 5,348.05) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Theodore Roszak achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Study for "Forty-Second Street" in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 126,000.00 (€ 111,632.85).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 89 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Theodore Roszak erzielte im Februar diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Explosion in a graveyard) für USD 5.670,00 (€ 5.348,05) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Theodore Roszak erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Study for "Forty-Second Street" im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 126.000,00 (€ 111.632,85).
