Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of EUR 72,160.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 55,000.00 – 75,000.00. Admittedly, works by Theaster Gates have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Flag For The Least Of Them in December 2018 with an auction result of USD 807,000.00 (€ 704,434.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Roofing Exercices - 2012 von Theaster Gates wurde im Dezember diesen Jahres in der Auktion Twenty One Contemporary bei Artcurial versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 72.160,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 55.000,00 – 75.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Theaster Gates auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Flag For The Least Of Them im Dezember 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 807.000,00 (€ 704.434,36).
