The work Dirty Red by Theaster Gates was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale in association with Phillips auction at POLY in Hong Kong in June 2021. It changed hands for a price of HKD 5,922,000.00 (€ 643,282.75) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 4,600,000.00 – 6,200,000.00. Other works by Theaster Gates have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2018 the work A Flag For The Least Of Them was auctioned for USD 807,000.00 (€ 704,434.36).

Die Arbeit Dirty Red von Theaster Gates wurde im Juni 2021 in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale in association with Phillips bei POLY in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 5.922.000,00 (€ 643.282,75) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 4.600.000,00 – 6.200.000,00.
