A top price for Pseudo-Simons - as previously expected
In June 2002 Christies in London held the auction PICTURES AND WATERCOLOURS FROM LONGLEAT, which included the work Grapes on the vine, plums, apples, pears and other fruit and flowers all in a wicker basket, a red squirrel eating acorns, a partially peeled lemon on a silver dish with cherries, oranges and figs on a stone table ledge; and Grapes on the vine, plums by Pseudo-Simons. The price achieved of GBP 47,800.00 (€ 73,935.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Grapes on the vine, plums, apples, pears and other fruit and flowers all in a wicker basket, a red squirrel eating acorns, a partially peeled lemon on a silver dish with cherries, oranges and figs on a stone table ledge; and Grapes on the vine, plums is the most expensive artwork by Pseudo-Simons that we have observed at auctions so far.

Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Grapes on the vine, plums, apples, pears and other fruit and flowers all in a wicker basket, a red squirrel eating acorns, a partially peeled lemon on a silver dish with cherries, oranges and figs on a stone table ledge; and Grapes on the vine, plums das teuerste Kunstwerk von Pseudo-Simons, das wir bisher bei
