A top price for The Pseudo-Guardi - as previously expected
The work Tulips, roses, morning glory and other flowers in a stone vase with narcissi growing beside; and Tulips, carnations and other flowers in an urn, with flowers in a glass vase and wild flowers on a stone by The Pseudo-Guardi was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2008. The price achieved of GBP 37,250.00 (€ 39,123.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Tulips, roses, morning glory and other flowers in a stone vase with narcissi growing beside; and Tulips, carnations and other flowers in an urn, with flowers in a glass vase and wild flowers on a stone is the most expensive artwork by The Pseudo-Guardi that we have observed at auctions so far.
