This artwork by Jan van Dornicke achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2011. In the Old Masters and 19th Century Art auction, the work A Triptych: The Adoration of the Magi sold for EUR 205,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan van Dornicke - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Triptych: central panel: The Crucifixion; left wing: Christ carrying the Cross; right wing: The Entombment, which sold at auction in July 2002 for GBP 435,650.00 (€ 694,878.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jan van Dornicke erzielte im Mai 2011 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Masters and 19th Century Art wurde die Arbeit A Triptych: The Adoration of the Magi für EUR 205.000,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan van Dornicke mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Triptych: central panel: The Crucifixion; left wing: Christ carrying the Cross; right wing: The Entombment beobachtet, die im Juli 2002 für GBP 435.650,00 (€ 694.878,65) versteigert wurde.
