The work Ira by Thaweesak Srithongdee was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction at Sothebys in Singapore in April 2007. The »bidding war« ended at SGD 7,800.00 (€ 3,757.25), 56% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thaweesak Srithongdee - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in April 2012 for HKD 87,500.00 (€ 8,525.78).

Die Arbeit Ira von Thaweesak Srithongdee wurde im April 2007 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings bei Sothebys in Singapur versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von SGD 7.800,00 (€ 3.757,25) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Thaweesak Srithongdee mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im April 2012 für HKD 87.500,00 (€ 8.525,78) versteigert wurde.
