A top price for Thaweesak Srithongdee - as previously expected
In April 2012 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings, which included this untitled work by Thaweesak Srithongdee. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 87,500.00 (€ 8,525.78) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, this work without title is the most expensive artwork by Thaweesak Srithongdee that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im April 2012 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Thaweesak Srithongdee zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 87.500,00 (€ 8.525,78) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist dieses Werk ohne Titel das teuerste Kunstwerk von Thaweesak Srithongdee, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
