The work Untitled – From the Buddhist Series by Thawan Duchanee was sold in the 20th Century Art Day Sale auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year. It achieved a price of HKD 4,032,000.00 (€ 483,176.67), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 61%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Thawan Duchanee; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Scream of Sorrowful sold at auction in November this year with the realized price of HKD 6,048,000.00 (€ 709,702.97).

Die Arbeit Untitled – From the Buddhist Series von Thawan Duchanee wurde im Dezember letzten Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century Art Day Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 4.032.000,00 (€ 483.176,67) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 61%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Thawan Duchanee; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Scream of Sorrowful im November diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 6.048.000,00 (€ 709.702,97).
