Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Thai Lanna Farmhouse by Thawan Duchanee was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2017. The price achieved of HKD 1,000,000.00 (€ 107,665.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 800,000.00 – 1,200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Thawan Duchanee have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Scream of Sorrowful in November this year with an auction result of HKD 6,048,000.00 (€ 709,702.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Thai Lanna Farmhouse von Thawan Duchanee kam im November 2017 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.000.000,00 (€ 107.665,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 800.000,00 – 1.200.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Thawan Duchanee auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Scream of Sorrowful im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.048.000,00 (€ 709.702,97).
